Certification process
What is a BAT/ UDS Certificate? A Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) / Substance Abuse Collection Certification certificate is issued by Hartman Drug and Health Training Center and attests that you fully understand the Department of Transportations' (DOT) rules and regulations detailed in their published document 49CFR Part 40 as well as instrument operation. This certificate is instrument specific and must be renewed every 5 years with the completion of a (written test) refresher course that can be mailed directly to you.
