Boots on the Roof is the Renewable Energy training division of Unitek, a long-running private school with a proven track record of certification-based and degree-based education programs in various technical and health care fields. Having successfully partnered with professional organizations nationwide to train tens of thousands of students, Unitek opened the Boots on the Roof division specifically to train the next generation of Solar Energy Entrepreneurs, Contractors, and Business People. Our courses are ideal for: Licensed Contractors (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Roofing, and General Contractors) who wish to reposition their businesses to bring Solar Power to their communities and Fast growing solar companies that wish to bring newly hired professionals up to speed on solar: sales professionals, project managers and designers. For Contractors, our Solar PV & Solar Thermal Boot Camps cover the most common design & installation topics for residential and small-scale commercial projects. Entrepreneurs, Business Professionals and Sales Reps who will not be doing physical installations would benefit most from our Solar for Sales Reps class. Students seeking a more robust, well-rounded academic grounding in Renewable Energy should consider our proposed Associates Degree program. Senior PV Project Engineers may also benefit from our Documentation class.
