Xanima Skills Academy
Xanima Skills Academy was established for the purpose of skills development in South Africa, focusing on entrepreneur development.
South Africa has a low skills base in comparison with other countries, an increasing population, and an education and training system insufficiently responsive to the changing needs and requirements.
Jobs are becoming less secure and careers are less predictable as companies are forced to restructure and downsize. Organizations insist more on certain skills in order to be competitive globally.
Skills development is currently only available to employees of large companies due to the excessive cost of it. Our aim is to focus on the type of training that can help people with career growth and employment opportunities and for business owner to prosper.
The Learning Program of Xanima Skills Academy endeavours to provide skills relevant to resolve problems with unemployment and to excel in careers.
We have a Careering workshop providing young people (school-leavers and students) with some entrepreneur skills to widen their options and horizon. The Careering camp is a 10-day camp where young people will complete a course in Building, Agricultural, Hospitality (accomodation services like guest houses) and Retail and get practical experience in the subject. We will do a life-orientation and entrepreneur workshop with them during this camp. After completion of the camp they will have a formal academic qualification with the practical experience and will feel more confident to seek employment.
We offer training for Entrepreneurial skills for new start-up entrepreneurs and unemployed students, Advanced Marketing and Financial skills, Facilitator skills, Coaching and Mentoring, Life Skills, Business skills with Customer Service, Employment Guidelines, Record Management, Basic administration, Toddler and Baby care, Basic Cooking, Health and Safety in the Workplace and Event Planning.
