She is passionate about the benefits of massage and about the importance of looking after the person as a whole, not just treating the symptom. We offer training that is fully insurable and accredited, including Anatomy, Physiology and Classical Swedish Massage. Also, practical, hands-on training days with CPD points.(Continuing Professional Development) All of our courses are validated for insurance purposes. Also included within the training will be history and philosophy relating to the therapy, Health and Safety and Client ethics. We offer Internationally recognised training in HOLISTIC Therapies and MASSAGE Therapies. No previous experience is necessary, but a keen interest in Holistic and Complementary therapies is essential. All of our courses are delivered in both Arabic and English. We currently offer the following courses at our Sports City venue: ANATOMY, PHYSIOLOGY & SWEDISH MASSAGE This intensive, stand alone course in Swedish Massage offers the student the opportunity to gain recognition following fast track training. The Swedish Massage Course is suitable for students with little or no prior knowledge of Bodywork. It is hands-on, practical and theoretical. The Swedish Massage module is taken in conjunction with the Anatomy and Physiology module. The maximum number of participants is four, this allows for personal time to be spent each day with the student on a one to one level. During this session, the tutor is able to monitor the standard of massage techniques, correct faults before they become habitual, answer questions, and discuss any problems as they arise. The philosophy of Hands-on-Workshops is to be as fully available and approachable as possible throughout the course. AIMS & OBJECTIVES: To be able to offer Swedish Massage as a professional therapy to the fee paying public. This intensive training course is held over four days, ( two weekends), with time in-between for home study. A practical assessment, plus multiple choice questionnaire will complete the course on the final day. . This course is fully accredited and carries 40 CPD points. The cost for the anatomy, physiology and classical Swedish massage course is 2, 800 dirhams The next course is scheduled to begin 8th October 2009 The cost includes refreshments, comprehensive course manual and practitioners certificate / diploma. VTCT ANATOMY and PHYSIOLOGY This anatomy and physiology course is an online UK and International diploma course. Upon successful completion, you will be awarded with the professionally recognised diploma in Anatomy & Physiology. This diploma is endorsed by the Vocational Training Charitable Trust, (VTCT) and is fully acceptable Internationally. You will learn the systems and the functions of the body, followed by an examination. All the study and preparation work may be taken at your own pace. A minimum of three months of study is required. There is no maximum time limit. You may begin this online course at any time. The theory examination must be taken under exam conditions. The exams are held 3 times a year in Dubai. The cost for the VTCT anatomy, physiology online course is 2, 300 dirhams You may wish to take further post graduate courses at a professional level.
