Strengthening Health Institute
The Strengthening Health Institute is a one of a kind Macrobiotic Community and Learning Center, offering once monthly, a week long Strengthening Health Intensive designed to "recover" and deepen your Macrobiotic lifestyle, equipping you with the knowledge and tools necessary for balance.
The Strengthening Health Intensive is hosted by Denny and Susan Waxman, renowned Macrobiotic teachers, counselors and chefs, Denny founder of S. H. I. and Essene- Philadelphia's first health food store and cafe is the Schools primary professor. Susan, world renowned Macrobiotic chef and cofounder of S. H. I. provides 3 exquisite, hand crafted meals daily, enabling the learning process at S. H. I. to come full circle, as you enjoy and experience the food energies you are learning about.
