International Institute for Sustainable Development at Colorado State University

IISD offers a series of related courses on various aspects of community-based development designed for practitioners in the field, project directors, funders, or anyone interested in learning more about community-based development. IISD is one of the only development training providers to offer short, non-credit courses that do not require university admission. Our courses are intensive and provide practical tools for those working in the field. IISD offers one of the most comprehensive development training programs covering 11 different subject areas within the field of sustainable community-based development. Students who complete the "Approaches to Community-Based Development" course along with three other elective courses will receive a certificate in Community-Based Development from the International Institute for Sustainable Development at Colorado State University.
