The Solutions Focus has developed a methodology which can be applied to coaching, team leadership and consultancy. It works particularly well with complex, people-related problems such as managing change, making quality/ service improvements, integrating acquisitions/ mergers or transforming the corporate culture.

Instead of focusing on the problem, we concentrate on developing a solution by identifying what is wanted and engaging what already works. Founded in 2002, The Solutions Focus works with household-name organisations such as Aon, Ashridge, Beiersdorf (Nivea), Capacitybuilers, Lufthansa, Metropolitan Police, PepsiCo and Procter & Gamble. The firm is based in St Albans, Hertfordshire.
Training
The Solutions Focus works in partnership with client organisations to design bespoke in-house training programmes, to embed the solutions-focused principles.
These programmes include courses for managers and team members in using and applying solutions focused tools and principles to their work; coaching skills courses for managers, leaders and internal/ external coaches in the solutions-focused approach; courses for internal trainers on how to design and deliver solutions-focused training, courses to help HR teams become more strategic and courses for specific organisational requirements, such as change management, difficult conversations or raising performance.
Coaching
The Solutions Focus's expert coaching practitioners provide one-to-one and team coaching, using the firm's own solutions-focused framework. Called OSKAR (Outcome, Scaling, Know-how, Affirm and Action, Review), this coaching framework helps those being coached to build on their strengths and enhance their performance and effectiveness.
