Although a native of Chicago, I spent 15 years of my professional life in Japan. From 1989 - 1991 I was a controller for Nippon Motorola in Tokyo and then from 1992 - 2004 I established and operated my own debt collection company called Advance & Associates Co., Ltd. Besides debt collection, over the years my company evolved into a full scale credit risk management provider in which we offered our clients a wide range of before and after sales credit risk management products and services. In 2000 I became a licensed insurance provider and represented Coface, Euler, and Atradius in selling their credit insurance programs to my debt collection clients. In October 2004 I sold my company and returned to the Chicago area in April 2005. Shortly thereafter, in July 2005 I established my present company, Stellar Risk Management Services Inc., as a credit risk management consultancy and credit insurance broker.
As a as a credit risk management consultancy and credit insurance broker, our goal is to help companies to:
* Safeguard assets (cash, accounts receivables, and inventory)
* Expand sales safely
* Minimize the risk of selling on credit
Since establishing my present company I have been approaching all of my clients with the first step of trying to understand their credit risk management system. In doing a thorough analysis of a company's credit risk management system, the products and services required to protect assets, increase cash flow, expand sales safely, and minimize the risk of selling on credit have always become apparent.
Many of our customers are in the manufacturing field and a large portion are the Japanese affiliated companies here in the midwest.
Due to my long term and in depth collection experience, one of the services that my company provides is Accounts Receivable Collection Training.
This one-day working seminar is composed of six units for developing communication skills necessary to adequately perform accounts receivable collection functions.
Using a highly interactive communicative and role play approach, the objective of this seminar is to identify, comprehend, and apply the skills of probing, detailing, explaining and negotiating in order to effectively perform fundamental accounts receivable collection activities.
