The Lasko School of Log Building provides hands-on workshops where Owner/Builders and others seeking new skills or to enhance or start a new career in the traditional crafts of building with logs. Students learn the traditional Scandinavian full-scribe-to-fit log joinery techniques as well as the traditional Appalacian hewn-log dovetail building techniques. From lay out to preassembly of log shells of various designs, Bill Lasko leads his students as they actually scribe, cut and fit logs while working on real log building projects The school is now designated as a Vocational School with programs approved for participation in GI Bill Education Benefits as well as the federally funded training grant programs; Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) and Workforce Investment Act (WIA).
