Sapphire Training & Consulting, LLC was created to assist organizations in the process of mining the leaders of tomorrow. Our philosophy provides individuals who want to become leaders in an organization with a framework to understand an organization from the ground up. Learning how to be a follower before becoming a leader provides a unique perspective that only a few leaders possess.
We offer a variety of training classes based on the Leadership Pyramid and the Learning to Lead from the Ground Up philosophy. Clients have a choice of how to receive the training. They can select the classroom, eLearning, or webinars based on their location and time constraints. Growing into an Organization
: Whether employees are new to an organization or new to working, this class will help them understand and adapt to the culture of their organization. The course discusses mission and vision statements and the importance of assimilating previous organizational cultures into the new environment. If someone is interested in moving up in an organization, this class is a must take!
Identifying a Mentor
: Mentors can play a crucial role in the success of one’s career. Whether the mentor is inside of your organization or out, this class will help you identify possible mentors and assist with an approach to getting the mentor on board. Having a mentor will be one of the best things you can do for your career.
Listening to Feedback
: Active listening is a crucial skill for effectively following. In business, information occasionally gets reinterpreted as it travels among receivers. This course will discuss the differences between active listening and passive listening and facilitate an active listening exercise. It will utilize some role playing to evaluate how well one person listens to another.
Organizational Culture & Your Career

This class is designed to help managers understand and think through whether or not they know the jobs their employees do. This session will also explore strategies for explaining to others in the organization the responsibilities of your employees.

: If you want to move your career upwards, you need to assess your motivation to effectively do so. This class will help people take an in depth look to see if they are really ready and motivated to take on a larger task of being a manager in an organization.

You will be setting priorities instead of following them. : Delegation is not as easy as it sounds. When transitioning from manager to leader, this can be one of the most difficult tasks one can undertake. This class is designed to assist people in deciding what you can delegate and what you cannot based on your organizational culture. We will explore ways that you can let go of some work and allow others to play a key role in a work process.
Identifying Your Style
: Identifying your leadership style can be one of the most difficult tasks you undertake when moving from a management position to a leadership position. Most people think they know what their style is, but do they? This class will discuss what leadership style is and walk through some steps for building your own unique style.
Mentoring Others
: At some point in your career, someone may ask you to be a mentor for them. Whether they are inside or outside your organization, they report to you or someone else, or they are a peer; this could be your opportunity to have a profound impact on someone else’s leadership style. : It sounds easy to move from managing to leading, and for some it seems like the same job only with more pay. But the differences are significant. This class will discuss the differences as well as the similarities between a manager and a leader. There is an exercise on how to determine whether you are better in a manager capacity or if you are ready to move on to leadership.

When you are a leader in an organization what is your expectation of how quickly your employees will change to your ever changing vision. This class will discuss change and the different levels at which people can adapt to change.
Humility
: Humility is a trait that is not inherint to everyone. How do you balance what you know and your expertise with self-confidence while keeping your ego in check. This class will discuss the art of humility and what it takes to be humble. We will also discuss how to be humble in a genuine manner.
Life at the Top
: Everyone believes that life at the top is easy; that people will surround you and do everything you ask. That is not always the case. In this session, we will discuss why life at the top may not be as easy as one may think. We will explore options to keep life at the top as enjoyable as possible.
Sharing the Vision
: Some say being a visionary is being at the top of your career. The question is how do you take what is in your head and share it with others? How do you inspire people to do what you want them to do? This session will explore techniques on how you can share your vision of the future with others and get them to buy in.
