Raising Horizons is a software development company specialising in creating interactive elearning training materials. Our courseware assists people who have a learning disability, such as cerebral palsy, autism and other related learning disabilities. We have had substantial support from the European Union, UK Government, National Autistic Society ("NAS"), World Autistic Society ("WAS") and the Autism Europe. All of our courses have been reviewed by the British Educational Communications and Technology Agency ( BECTA ) who approved our products to be used under the Citizenship and Personal, Social and Health Education section of the National Curriculum. Our suite of developers continue to produce leading edge elearning courseware for people with learning disabilities.

Our elearning courseware equips young people with the personal skills they need to develop through their lives. The courseware has portability, usability, adaptability and is person-centered.
Our elearning courseware has been designed to be used in conjunction with a Coach e. g. teacher, parent or carer. The Coach should work closely with the student and discuss each lesson with them.

The major innovative feature of our courseware is the ability for Personalisation.

Your School Day (5-10 years) - INTERACTIVE CD-ROM

The target user age of this courseware is 5-10 years old and takes them through the school day - ranging from getting ready for school, travelling to school, recognising faces, working with others and interactive Games.

Travel with Me (12 years)- INTERACTIVE CD-ROM

Travel with Me creates opportunities to develop strategies to make your journeys successful . There are over 50 learning topics such as planning a journey, learning foreign language phrases.

The Teenage Years (13-19 years)- INTERACTIVE CD-ROM

This interactive course will give teenagers a variety of situational strategies designed to help them to recognise and acknowledge their emotions and to create friendships. Aimed at those who may find social and friendship situations difficult.
