Robert Hansel

Robert S. Hansel is the founder of RSH Consulting, Inc., a firm dedicated to helping clients strengthen their mainframe and network access controls by fully exploiting all the capabilities and latest innovations in RACF. He has over twenty-six years of experience in information systems security as a manager, consultant, auditor, and instructor, and has worked with RACF for twenty-one of those years. Mr. Hansel has reviewed, implemented, and enhanced RACF controls for major insurance firm, financial institutions, utilities, hospitals, universities, and international retailers. He has assisted clients with developing security policies, instituting data ownership, establishing naming conventions, and defining minimum security standards. Mr. Hansel is especially skilled at redesigning and refining large-scale implementations of RACF using role-based access control concepts. He has also created automated tools to assist clients with RACF administration and quality assurance. Mr. Hansel has presented numerous courses and seminars on RACF implementation, administration, and auditing.
