Liana Voia
Dr. Liana Voia is the Director and the founder of the Hypnosis Healing Centre, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. She is a dedicated practitioner with strong counselling and research skills in the science of hypnosis. She holds a PhD in Clinical Hypnotherapy (2008) and a Master of Arts in Educational Studies (with focus on Adult Education). She also completed credits in research methods and statistics, pscyhology, counselling, and aging at the University of Toronto, the National Board of Professional and Ethical Standards and The University of Western Ontario.
In the past, Dr. Voia worked as a teacher, a Research Assistant for the School of Nursing of The University of Western Ontario and an Assistant Policy Analyst. She has been published with the Centre for Research on Violence Against Women and Children and in the Canadian Nursing Home Magazine. Her doctoral thesis examines the hypnosis teaching modalities in the classroom using the principles of adult education; the thesis discusses several case examples and proposes a hypnosis curriculum that reflects the principles of adult education.
