Reyna V. O'Neil currently resides in Arizona where she just finished a 3 month interim position as the Interim Executive Director with the ACLU of Arizona and is currently assisting nonprofits reach their dreams through her assistance with accounting/ bookkeeping, grant writing and business coaching. Reyna O Neil also trained in the areas of Time Management, Communication, Leadership, Team Building and more.
In Ventura County Ms. O'Neil was the chair for the Ventura County Alcohol & Drug Advisory Board, member of the CA Dept. of Alcohol & Drug Programs, LGBT Constituent Committee and a member of the ACLU of Ventura County. She s was also the founder and Board Chair of LGBTQ Family Center, an organization that provided support services for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning youth.
Ms. O'Neil has over 25 years of experience with non-profit organizations in areas of nonprofit creation, program development, program evaluation, nonprofit accounting including nonprofit audits (program, state and federal) as well as grant writing.
Ms. O'Neil lived in Ventura County for 11 years and prior to her contributions as a member of the community there she lived in Sacramento, CA. While in Sacramento, she was the Latina advocate for reproductive rights, HIV/ AIDS and alcohol & drug prevention.
Ms. O Neil received her Bachelors from Sacramento State University in Bi-Lingual Bi-Cultural Education and a minor in Accounting. She is has completing a second BA and MBA in Business Administration. She s a member of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers, National Society of Accountants and the National Association of Professional Grant Writers.
Ms. O Neil has had her own business for over 20 years, providing support services to small business owners and nonprofit organizations. Ms. O Neil has recently begun providing executive interim services to organizations in transition.
In her spare time Ms. O Neil travels and loves archeology and geology. As an immigrant to this county she speaks Spanish, (a little) French, (a little) German, Italian and very little Turkish and of course English.
